Frequently Asked Questions

What Time Does School Start and End? 
7:25 am is when the first bell rings and 7:30 is when the late bell rings. School is out on M, T, Th, and F at 2:40 pm. On Wednesdays school dismissal is at 12:40 so that our teachers can continue their learning.

How are students graded?
Students will be graded based on a portfolio system which shows growth over time. They will receive a report card which will be generated by subject area each semester, but conversations and conferences will be student-led and centered around growth that has been made.   

How are students grouped?
Students will be grouped into 3 Coveys-5-7 year olds, 7-9 year olds, and 9-12 year olds.  

What transportation do you provide?
As a School of Choice, without boundaries, we do not provide transportation.  

Can I volunteer?
Of course! We love volunteers. You would work directly with our parent liaisons, who would find out specific areas you'd like to volunteer and train you.  

Will my child wear a uniform?
We are not a uniform school. At The Creighton Academy, one of the most important aspects is creating autonomous learners and thinkers. We want our kids to make choices and advocate for themselves, and we believe that starts by making decisions about clothing.
